I really wish emergency services would stop relying solely on xtwitter and bookface for sharing important information and incident updates. At least provide a public feed via rss or even just an accessible web site.

@joeo10 They do here in Oz. Even have Android and iOS apps that are quite effective.

@peemee I know there are some agencies in the US that does emergency alerts in other avenues such as apps, websites and RSS, not enough do. That's a major problem having one centralized way to do so.
